Timed hot laps are utilized to seed the teams for heat races
The overall field (minus rookies and any handicapped) are split into 2 main groups
These 2 main groups are split into smaller flights of usually 8 -12 cars
Each flight stages and times together - do NOT miss your flight, you will not be granted access to a later flight
Times from the overall Group are then gathered and used to seed the Heat Races
Heat Races typically have the same number of participants as the flights, The top 4 cars in each heat are inverted based on time
If we have 6 Heat races - 18 cars qualify through heats, balance to the B main
Top 3 qualify, top 2 redraw (total of 12 redraw)
If we have 8 Heat races - 16 cars qualify from heats, balance to the B main
Top 2 qualify
Winner to redraw
From second place finishers 2 more from each original group make redraw based on time (total of 12 redraw)
Non qualifiers are split into B-mains based on their heat finishes
special note - in the past we lined up the 2nd place starter based on their time but this is being dropped in 2022 due to time it takes to calculate
If we have 6 Heat races - there will be either 2 or 3 b-mains (not to exceed 26 cars)
2 B-mains we qualify 3 each (6 cars) for a 24 car a-main (position 4-15 advance to Founders cup 26 cars)
3 B-mains we qualify 2 each (6 cars) for a 24 car a-main (position 3-14 advance to Founders cup 26 cars)
If we have 8 Heat races - there will be either 2 or 4 b-mains (not to exceed 26 cars)
2 B-mains we qualify 4 each (8 cars) for a 24 car a-main (position 5-16 advance to Founders cup 26 cars)
4 B-mains we qualify 2 each (8 cars) for a 24 car a-main (position 3-14 advance to Founders cup 26 cars)
A main alternates are the 1st non qualifier in the b-mains . They are seeded from timed hot laps.
B-main finishes are used to set the Founders Cup field (No redraw or invert)

Founders cup winner is gauranteed starter at Next Years Keystone RaceSaver Challenge only IF they are exclusive RaceSaver from the date they win the founders cup until the next Keystone RaceSaver Challenge is run. Gauranteed start does not defer to the next if first excludes themselves in any way.
We added this page after the 2021 race as we had a lot of questions prior to the race. All of this is subject to change but it also serves to remind us of the procedures each year for consistency. The only change we are anticipating for 2022 is that nobody in the b-main will get their time back. Steve O'neal requested this after some confusion in 21. B-mains are heads up from the heat results.
PASS does not dictate race procedures we only inform the track of any handicapping prior to the race based on our eligibility etc.
