Why not more money to the winner?
Every racer strives to win but costs are basically equal to compete.
Experience shows that we cannot control spending however people that can afford to spend more typically are not afraid to make the investment in better equipment.
Things like new tires may offer a slight advantage but keeping the purse relatively equal makes it far less logical to do so. Paying big money to win only encourages spending when cost savings is our goal.
Our series has maintained the same cost for a competitive motor while other series have considerably higher costs that continue to rise. Even teams that purchase new tires have not historically dominated. Low cost motors continue to win..
If you need more money to win we suggest taking the $10000 to $20000 you save on a motor and stick a little extra in your pocket when you win. By keeping things competitive we can assure you that money will last a long time. |
